The Noni is only a small tree, not taller than 10 m, but its fruits are the real highlight. When ripe, they turn pale yellow, ending in an almost transparent whitish color. Both their taste and smell are quite strong and somewhat unpleasant. It is not for nothing that the fruit is also called vomit fruit or rotten cheese fruit.
Nevertheless, it contains 160 phytochemical compounds, including alkaloids, and organic acids. Iguanas like to eat the overripe fruits that they find on the ground.
